Sugar free chocolate candy bars

The sugar free chocolate candy bars with nuts are moist, soft and so delicious. They consist of just five ingredients and are very easy to make at home with this recipe. You can snack on them without feeling guilty or give them as a gift.

Ingredients

  • 300 g roasted nuts
  • 350 g fresh dates pitted
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

to coat

  • approx. 250 g sugar free chocolate

Instructions

  • Put roasted nuts in a blender and puree to a paste.
  • Blend pitted dates into a paste.
  • Place the nut paste, the date paste, cocoa powder and salt in a mixing bowl and knead into a firm, sticky dough.
  • Place the dough in a freezer bag and flatten it into a rectangle about 1 cm thick.
  • Place the dough sheet in the freezer for approx. 20 minutes.
  • Melt chocolate over a water bath.
  • Take the dough sheet out of the freezer bag and cut it into square candies measuring approx. 2 cm x 2 cm.
  • Dip each candy into the melted chocolate using a fork, spread the chocolate candy bars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and leave the chocolate to dry.

Notes

  • You can use any nuts you like. Roast them in a pan or in the oven beforehand.
  • It is best to use fresh, soft dates without additives. If you only have dried dates, soak them briefly in warm water beforehand and then dry them.
  • You can roughly chop some of the nuts if you like nut pieces in your candy bars.
  • Only use unsweetened baking cocoa without additives for the chocolate candy bars.
  • You can adjust the amount of cocoa powder slightly, depending on how chocolatey you like your candy bars.
  • Use good quality sugar free chocolate for the healthy candy bars.
  • Store the chocolate nut candy bars in a cool place.
